With a background in restaurant management, and across a range ofhospitality brands, Massimo’s strength is marrying the meaning ofhospitality with successful business strategy.
Massimo firmly believes that unlocking the potential of people is howto build a successful business, as people sit at the heart of thehospitality industry. This led him to found the consultancy RestaurantKeys, in 2015; and in June 2019 Massimo will be launching a businesseducation platform, Knowledge Sphere.
Massimo’s career has grown up through the restaurant world,starting as a waiter through to high-end restaurant openings withinan operational management capacity. This depth of experience hasallowed him to understand the business from both a guest’s needs towhat a team needs, giving him the benefit of an all-rounded view andapproach to problem solving.
Massimo made the progression from direct restaurant operationsinto a consultancy role so that he could work with a diverse portfolioof businesses – he thrives on new challenges and meeting interestingpeople, with creative ideas. Massimo felt there was a missingelement within the industry, where smaller brands and hospitalitybusinesses could benefit from having the experience of anoperational team, without investing in an in-house ‘head office’.
Combining this idea with Massimo’s experience at high-endrestaurant openings, in both the UK, Bermuda and the Middle Eastmeans he is able to offer guidance and advisory services on a projectbasis, such as openings, or as on-going business support and strategy– for a range of size of businesses.
